I purged my computer of all previous Alt1 files and registry keys, the message no longer appears 
It's back again.

Win 7 SP1
When starting Alt1 I get a message: "Alt1 is already running on this computer. Check the system tray on the bottom right of your screen". That happens every time Alt1 is opened including first launch after rebooting the PC. It opens normally after that though.
The icons in the XP Meter settings are a bit wonky:
