Model Viewer/Player Scan

Is Player Scan broken? I'm trying to load my character in Model Viewer but it isn't working, I'm assuming because I haven't scanned my character before.

When trying to scan I get this error 'Account scan failed. The account scan feature is currently offline.' It's been like this for a while, is there any hope it'll work again or has something changed to prevent it on Jagex's end?

It has been down since the start of the achievements/player profile update, with a return yet to be determined. You can use the new model viewer in the interim.
