NXT Client?

Any idea if/when you'll do an nxt version? Good thing they attach to the new client. Sad they don't pick up the screen yet.

Re: NXT Client?

It seems to depend on your graphics card/drivers, maybe windows version. It does work for me on windows 10 on my dedicated nvidia card as well as on intel integrated graphics.

As it turns out it works for me now, I just didn't capture it.

I noticed the new client runs on OpenGL not DirectX, so select "Desktop Capture". Unfortunately as it says, it doesn't work if the game window is hidden.

Perhaps a way to fix this is to basically look for OpenGL and DirectX windows. Have the option for both.

Re: NXT Client?

The problem is that there is no easy way to just capture the output of an opengl game. I'll have to look into it again, however it took me a very long time to find the current directx capture method.

Also, i meant that directx capture was working for me, however i seem to be the only one sad

Re: NXT Client?

In the screenshot you posted in the shoutbox it looks like it's not working for you either skillbert, or did it start working after you logged in?
I think you're going to have to change a lot when the nxt client comes out of beta, as a lot of stuff looks different(like the minimap, and you can zoom in/out on that)
For now I'm not in a hurry for any fixes, as the nxt client makes my entire computer lag even on the lowest settings sad
So I wont be using it much this beta weekend.

Re: NXT Client?

Did some Googling today, read a couple of articles talking about Jagex working on a new OpenGL engine, guessing that's what NXT is running on. Are you sure you are running on DirectX @Skillbert? If so, how'd you manage to do that, or did it at default run that api?

Re: NXT Client?

It must have defaulted to directx for me, i'm not sure why it did for me and not for many other people. The dev blog states that it would use directx as a fallback for very old computers, however my laptop really isn't that old and i have up to date drivers. I have a way to capture opengl in mind which i hope works out.

Re: NXT Client?

Since the Java client can run in OpenGL, there's plenty of time to test till the next beta. Hopefully it comes soon. Hate java now, so ugly.

Re: NXT Client?

I just finished my exams, haven't done any programming the last month. I currently have an plan how to do the capture, but implementation looks like a challenge and i haven't stated it yet.
