Dungeoneering map update is causing issues with DgKey map detection

The update went live yesterday. Unless you line it up perfectly with how it was before in relation to the toc and keys corner, DgKey doesn't detect the map whatsoever. Also, even when the map has been aligned, DgKey is now having problems with the highlighted rooms due to guide mode.

Guide mode issue has been a thing since the changes a lil while ago, but I can confirm it doesn't work since map changes the other day. @vdale, can you post a pic of the alignment that works?

Good idea!

First, you'll want to lower the minigame hud so it isn't at the very top of the screen (otherwise, the dungeoneering map snaps to the top) and also you'll want the minigame hud an odd number of pixels aligned from the left (otherwise the dungeoneering map will snap one pixel to the left upon saving settings). Align the map 2 pixels lower than the minigame hud, and 20 pixels to the right relative to starting on the first non-white pixel at the end of "HUD".

How did you move one pixel at a time? big_smile

I really cant get this to work. It just doesn't want to scan it.

If you have windows mousekeys, you can use the arrows (8/2/4/6) to move pixel by pixel.

Oh my god, that actually worked! How did you figure it out? (And yeah, might want to add that you used mousekeys.)

Re: Dungeoneering map update is causing issues with DgKey map detection

I did as the video said but had trouble so I started where it was started and dropped down by 2 pixels first then slowly made my way to the right. the first image that popped up wasn't aligned right so I kept going and the map disappeared as expected and after a bit more to the right it popped up again with it aligned properly in dgkey. for this mousekeys is a must!!! I hope this helps everyone out smile

Re: Dungeoneering map update is causing issues with DgKey map detection

I tried and tried but cannot get it to work using pixel moving.

When I use mousekey it doesn't seem to move each time I type a number. Is it 20 pixel of movement or just hit 20 times? I tried both multiples times and nothing. I hope Skillbert see the issue soon and help us because I would really love being able to move the map out of that exact spot which is why we have the update in the first place.. Alot of us don't like having the map stuck there with the puzzle interface.

P.S. Those who have it to work; are you on DirectX or OpenGL? I'm not getting it to work and on NXT with OpenGL detection
