GPU acceleration causing a black screen in RuneApps.

GPU acceleration can sometimes cause RuneApps to display a black screen, especially when there are compatibility issues between the application, graphics drivers, and the operating system. This problem is often reported after driver updates or when using older GPUs. I have seen similar behaviour with other hardware accelerated apps, especially after a graphics driver update.

I would probably test it with GPU acceleration disabled first. If the black screen disappears immediately, that at least confirms you are looking in the right area. After that I would try a clean graphics driver install rather than just updating over the existing one.

Multiple monitors are worth checking too. Different refresh rates, scaling settings or moving the app between GPUs on a laptop can sometimes produce some very strange rendering issues. I would test it on one display first, keep the same scaling everywhere and make sure the app is using one GPU consistently. I notice the same thing with browser-based sites. Simplifying the setup usually makes the cause much easier to spot.
